All Maps Lie: A Look at the Properties and Functions of Maps

Description

Maps are tools for understanding the world around
us. However, just like other sources of information,
maps can be deceiving depending on the purpose of
the map’s creator. In this lesson students will identify and describe the
properties and functions of maps and become more
aware of bias that can be fostered by a map.
